GAZA
Since 1948, Israel's occupation and oppression has led to a staggering rise in the number of Palestinians killed, detained and displaced. Since October 2023 we have seen this violence intensify further with families torn apart and killed, destruction of homes, religious structures, hospitals, schools and vital infrastructure leading. This disregard of all international human rights conventions and laws is a continuation of Israel’s Genocide on Palestinian lives and land.
At Restless Beings, we have been working on this issue and monitoring it for a number of years from providing urgent aid; food, medicine, mobile clinics, shelter material, wheelchairs, water, building toilet facilities in the refugee camps, alongside extensive advocacy work pushing for justice and accountability through our research and lobbying in the UK/US/EU/UAE.
Since Oct 2023 we have been and we hope to continue to be amongst the first responders in providing life saving urgent aid. Food & Water are essential needs at this moment so our focus is to provide the following:
Critical Hot Meals - providing nourishing hot meals to the displaced.
Critical Gaza Need > Donation of £85 - Provides 10 families with food
Building of a large communal water well, providing safe clean drinking/bathing water to many
Water Supply > Donation of £120 - builds part of a communal water supply.
SUDAN
Sudan is now the largest global humanitarian crises ever recorded with over 30.4 million (Jan 2025 stats) requiring urgent support. This ongoing Genocide has left 13 million children facing acute food insecurity. The horrific situation in Sudan is getting worse and we are witnessing rising numbers daily.
At Restless Beings we have been campaigning for Sudan for a few years now and mobilising youth in the UK to do and say more. Our work in Sudan primarily focuses on providing medical support for Genocide to victims.
Urgent Medical Support Sudan > Donation of £100
Supports our mobile medical clinic which has provided medical services to 4,370 from September 2025 until present.
ROHINGYA ~ Bangladesh
The Rohingya are amongst one of the most persecuted communities in the world. They have suffered from decades of state and military led violence and stages of Genocide in Myamar leading to over 750,000 being displaced and forced to flee from the Rakhine State in 2017. There are now over 1.4 million Rohingya currently seeking refuge in Bangladesh, living in terrible temporary conditions in the world’s largest and most congested refugee camp - Kutupalong. Of this population, 72% are women and children.
We were amongst the leading organisations globally to recognise and raise awareness of the plight of the Rohingya community 18 years ago. Inside the refugee camp in Bangladesh, we run two schools supporting over 800 children (many are orphans or have witnessed horrific violence carried out on their loved ones and their homes burnt). We also have a Women & Girls Centre & Safe Space - (especially for rape victims). In addition to this, we carry out daily distributions of food, shelter material, medical support, building water wells and providing much needed counsel and support for the elderly, new arrivals and pregnant mothers.
Education sustained for a child for 3 months > Donation of £3
WEST AFRICA
Since the beginning of Nigeria’s conflict with Boko Haram in 2009, more than 2.9 million people have been displaced and living in harsh conditions in the sub-Saharan desert with little to no support. Many internally displaced persons (IDPs) have also sought refuge in camps across the northeast. There is a huge scarcity in food, water, sanitation facilities, health care, and education to the displaced population.
We have been working in the region for a number of years now and our key focus is on providing access to safe, fresh drinking water. Our Restless Beings West Africa team work tirelessly building large communal water wells which supports thousands of families.
Water Supply > Donation of £850
Build an extra large communal water well which will support thousands of families.
