Eid Al Adha represents one of the most spiritual times of the year for Muslims who observe the days of Dhul Hijjah. Qurbani, Uddhiya or sacrifice is regarded as obligatory upon adult Muslims with the produce being shared amongst the poor or destitute.

Eid Al Adha is one of the few times a year those living in the refugee camps in West Africa will be able to have meat. What seems so small to us, is so significant to the refugees from Lake Chad area. Now, residing in the refugee camps, almost everything is dictated for them: where they’re able to go, what they’re able to do, even down to what they eat. Due to the expense of meat, aid agencies do not include meat as part of food packs, but during this time of year, we strive to help West Africa refugees celebrate Eid the way they want, by doing something as little as ensuring families have enough to eat, including enough meat for their families.

We urge you to support this community. The price of a share is £90 per share and a whole cow £630.
